SRSR provides a well rounded fishing experience for anglers of all levels. The slough and small creek that parallel the Sun River for nearly a mile offer trophy Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout. The Sun River is fed by numerous springs along the property, which gives the river a consistent water flow, even in drought conditions. The Ranch also offers well stocked trout ponds perfect for teaching children and adults alike the joys of trout fishing.

 Fort Shaw and the surrounding areas offer a fishing experience like no other. Here, trout are the most sought after species, but the adventurous angler can find Walleye, Pike, Yellow Perch, and Smallmouth Bass in other streams nearby. Just 30 minutes from Sun River Springs Ranch, the Missouri River boasts one of the most prolific trout fisheries in Montana, known for its impressive hatches and dry fly fishing. The Missouri River is the largest river in Montana and has ample room for all types of fishing, and just two hours south via four lane roads, the Yellowstone, Gallatin, and Madison Rivers combine three of the Blue Ribbon Fisheries in the United States. Countless smaller streams and beaver ponds are within minutes of the Ranch as well. |
